Nyakasura School Community Leads March and Clean-Up Exercise Ahead of Centenary Celebrations

Nyakasura School today demonstrated its enduring spirit of unity, service, and pride as students, staff, alumni, and members of the wider community came together for a symbolic march and town clean-up exercise in Fort Portal City.

The activity, organized as part of the lead-up to the school’s highly anticipated Centenary Celebrations, saw participants march from the school premises into the heart of Fort Portal Tourism City and back. Along the route, the team engaged in a clean-up drive, reinforcing the values of environmental responsibility and community service that have defined Nyakasura School for generations.

The event not only highlighted the strong bond between the school and the surrounding community but also served as a reminder of the institution’s commitment to shaping responsible and impactful citizens.

The Centenary Celebrations, scheduled for 26th March 2026, mark 100 years of excellence in education, leadership, and character development. The occasion is expected to be graced by the President of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who will preside over the function as Chief Guest.

As the countdown continues, activities such as today’s march and clean-up underscore the school’s legacy, not only of academic achievement but also of service, unity, and pride in community.
